Syria team is looking for a new employee (m / v). Are you an analytical winner and have an affinity with project management? Read more quickly! In addition, you will expect content input from you based on conversations with interlocutors and relevant parties and organisations, through meetings / meetings and through information gathering (e.g. from reports, news). On this basis you write reports and reports; • Maintaining contacts with relevant parties and organisations; • Logistics / administrative support for the Special Envoy Syria (SGS) and team members. Profile: • Academic level of work and thinking; • Very good English language skills (oral and written, Cure), extra languages Turkish and Arabic are an advantage; • More than 2 years of comparable work experience; • Excellent contactual and social skills; • Strong team player skills, social and intercultural skills, flexibility and willingness to work overtime at peak tax; • Good computer skills.

The person we're looking for can work well in a team and thinks along with colleagues. He / she is prepared to explore the regulations of The Hague (as necessary for the work) and knows how to take matters independently with other parts of the ministry, the Consulate General or external parties. You are very discreet and reluctant in communication - both internally and externally - regarding your own activities related to the strictly confidential nature of the information obtained. Therefore a Dutch declaration of good conduct will be requested and a confidentiality declaration will have to be signed. If interested recently participated in a relevant safety investigation, this is recommended. Accuracy and timeliness are important when carrying out the work. Humour and excellent social skills are very important!

The function will cover 36/40 hours a week. The grading will be carried out in accordance with the regulations for local staff in Turkey and depending on experience, on scale 7 Working environment:: n

The Syria team, led by the SGS, is spread across The Hague, Geneva, Beirut and Istanbul and is in charge of advising on the NL policy towards Syria. The tasks include political activities and the monitoring of developments, including political, human rights and security. The team has an extensive network of contacts in the region, for which all team members travel very regularly.
